It's been a long time I'm experiencing high CPU usage on Windows while my laptop is docked to it's station.
By going into the Task Manager, we can see that one core is running 100% draining a lot of power and heating the whole machine.
The process responsible for this is the Windows Kernel itself so this is due to high amount of interrupts.
I'm using Intel Gigabit 82579LM driver 12.2.45.0
After digging, I found out that disabling the Wake on lan feature remove the problem.
Much better !
